Una coroncina di cartone come quelle che si facevano a scuola da bambini, con qualche pon pon colorato trovato in merceria. O fatta di piccole roselline da abbinare alla gonna lunga bianca in pizzo macramè comprata a Formentera per essere una gitana metropolitana.
Uno shampoo colorato che va via con un lavaggio - forse due - per avere almeno per una sera i capelli come quelli dei cartoni animati. Rosa. Azzurro carta da zucchero. Verde sottobosco o argento-cielo-stellato. Ciglia finte. Una striscia di pizzo nero e un neo finto disegnato all’angolo della bocca. Le orecchie da gattina e i baffi disegnati con un matita grigio perla ben appuntita fin sugli zigomi. E ancora piume-piume-e-piume da incollare a mo' di copricapo su un cerchietto perché con un po' di magia, con un pizzico di immaginazione - e con un paio di forbici - anche un vecchio cerchietto può trasformarsi in un diadema sbrilluccicoso. E una festa – qualunque festa - in un pretesto per trasformarsi. E tornare a giocare.

A strip of black lace and a fake birthmarkpainted on the corner of the mouth. Kitten-ears and mustaches drawn with a gray sharp pencil up to the cheekbones. And feathers, feathers, and more feathers to stick onto a circled headdress because with a little' magic, with a bit of imagination and with a pair of scissors, even an old headband can turn into a shimmering tiara.
